It’s hard to believe that my trip is already over and I am heading back to Boston tomorrow morning. I have been pretty busy with everything going on with the family. It was good to see everyone, and it was good to have the chance to see some of my friends that I had not seen in several years as well. Wow, so much has changed in just three years. Anyway, I managed to take some photos.

Those of you who know me know that I refer to the cold part of the year as Cashmere Season. (The hot part of the year is Involuntary Sweating Season. I hate that part, thank goodness it is almost over.) I have even gotten Geoff into some cashmere sweaters. Naturally, I never pay full price. Paying full price is for suckers. Regular readers around here also know that I get daily emails from Etsy. This little gem popped up in my inbox the other day and I just didn’t know what to make of it. Especially in AUGUST. Who advertises this in August???
Right now there are a lot more important things going on in the world than this. Heck, there are more important things going on in OUR world than this. But with our impending wedding there is a LOT of pressure placed on me to look perfect. One of the things that has been coming up a lot lately is what I’m going to do about my hair.
Nope, that’s not the title of Geoff’s favorite WWII era submarine movie, it’s the radioactive iodine that’s going to be used to treat Smoky for his extreme hyperthyroidism.
I made this. I also custom created the header, did the HTML for the resume there, updated her Monster.com resume, and got her a Google Voice number. For the love of God, someone hire her! Or, you know, me. Or Geoff.
Ahem.
I also ran a bunch of errands and was reminded, yet again, of the fact that there are tremendous numbers of clothes designed every year for plus sized women that are just HORRENDOUSLY ugly. Note to clothes designers: just because we’re size 14+ does not automatically mean that we want huge prints, shapeless shirts or dresses, or clothing without structure. I promise. REALLY. Check in with Marina Rinaldi if you’re confused. Or Ralph Lauren. Or Calvin Klein.

Geoff and I have been meaning to put up these pics for a while. This is our Mini Cooper Clubman. His name is Basil.
Rerun is a truly special animal. If he was a human he’d be an extremely paranoid, anxious, and probably violent person of middle intelligence who was good looking and also happened to be a spree killer cannibal.
So, it’s a little after midnight and I haven’t yet received the 15 emails from the various websites I’m signed up with that will trumpet 3 MONTHS! But it’s true, 3 months from today is our wedding day.

The problem with having a fairly common name is that you get email for other people. A lot. Geoff does not have this problem. I do. I have several email addresses. One of them is my name @ a common web based email provider.com. I got this email address when this particular provider first started offering email (yes, that’s how old I am) and basically use it for times when I needed something professional and/or humorless.
Those of you who are regular readers know that Geoff and I love food. We love to eat it, to cook it, to bake it. We have more cookbooks than we have room to store them. Sometimes I think this blog is in danger of becoming a food blog. Or, at least, a blog about our favorite restaurant. Ahem.
