A New Storm Naming System Proposal

I am a bit of a weather geek, and a history geek, and sometimes a weather history geek.  But you knew that already.

So anyway, I heard about this interesting proposal to change the naming system for hurricanes, and I certainly appreciate the sentiment.

Essentially, there is a proposal to give hurricanes the names of prominent climate change deniers.  The idea is that rather than have ordinary people be forced to share their names with terrible and destructive forces of nature, instead we can have these storms named after people who insist that climate change is not a problem and obstruct all efforts to do anything about it.  This video explains it rather well, and quite hilariously.
