Tonight Kelly and I expected to go visit Smoky at Angell, and we were concerned after the conversations that Kelly had earlier today with his doctor. But by the time we got to see him early this evening, apparently he had turned a corner and was doing considerably well. So well, in fact, that the doctor said we could actually take him home tonight. Needless to say this was a great surprise, and we were not prepared to bring him home. We did not even have a carrier with us. But we borrowed one from Angell and we managed to get the little guy home.
He is not done, though. He is going to have to go back to the hospital to get his I-131 treatment still. But it will not be until he has had time to recover from all the problems that happened in the last two days. The doctor wants us to call or e-mail her tomorrow morning to give her an update with how he is doing. We are also supposed to make an appointment for him to come back for that treatment in another ten days or so. In the meantime he has several new medications that he had to be given, including one that actually requires us to administer by giving him shots.
Still, we are just glad to know that his many ailments are being worked on, and that the little guy is finally feeling better. Hopefully he will not be too stressed out tonight and can get some rest.

P.S. The almost all-day interview I had today seemed to go pretty well. Hopefully I will hear soon from the company as to whether or not I will move on to the next phase of the process. It has been a long day and I am just worn out.
Good (so far) news. *crosses all fingers and loves on the whole menagerie, humans included*
Thanks so much. It has been such a bombardment of bad news lately. It will be nice if I hear from the company before the end of the week.
