We have finally regained our Internet connection. We shall see how long it lasts. I honestly don’t have a lot of faith that it will last. For whatever reason, Verizon DSL seems to be too unreliable. We are hardly the only ones who seem to be having this problem, and I can find a fair bit of evidence that the problem has been going on with many Verizon DSL customers in our area for over a decade.
The most frustrating thing about this is that there are customers like us who would much rather stick with Verizon than go to Comcast, and that is why we have been holding on for this long. But the truth is I just don’t think Verizon cares. They don’t seem to care. Our DSL service continues to get worse and worse, and it seems like most of the time they refuse to acknowledge that the problem is on their end and not on ours. And to add insult to injury, we keep getting the runaround as to whether or not Fios will ever make an appearance here. I am so utterly disgusted with the company that I am ready to chuck them. I really hope someone from Verizon will read this, because I am on the verge of spending a lot of my free time doing nothing but posting on every relevant website I can find about the crappy service we have been getting. When you are looking for work and your Internet connection is down it has a way of making you boil over rather quickly.
