So naturally, I thought I would oblige everyone with some new pics of the kittehs, especially little Violet.

Now, as I sort of mentioned before, Violet loves to explore the house, and she loves to find new little places to hide and take a little nap. So I hid some of the cat beds in various places around the house, and she seems to like them that way. In fact, she probably uses more of these now than Scratch. His favorite spot now seems to be OUR bed. Violet seems to be cool with that because it means she won’t have to compete with him for beds as much.

The guest room has a baby gate in the doorway to keep the dogs out, and so both Scratch and Violet have discovered they can go in there without having the dogs bother them or chase them. And Violet has discovered that Kelly’s bathrobe is VERY comfortable and fun to roll around on when left on the guest bed.
Now that we are getting the office set up and spending more time up there, the animals are spending more time up on the top floor. Both cats love sleeping up there when I am at my desk working on the computer.

I was telling my mom that we tend to treat Violet like the baby of the family because she is both the youngest (6 years) and the smallest (less than 7 pounds). And she is just too ridiculously cute.
Then there’s Scratch. Scratch thinks he’s a dachshund, so naturally he is usually sleeping where they sleep, rather than on or in the cat beds, except for one cat bed that he likes. That one is his old bed that used to sit on top of our old upright freezer, but now sits on a shelf mounted on the basement window. But otherwise he is all about the dog beds, even sharing them on occasion.

Just today I finally assembled a cat tree that we have had for a while, but had no idea where we were going to put it. I put it together in the office, so now it sits next to the server rack. I will eventually try to block the kittehs from getting on the server rack TOO easily. But until the server is up and running again, I am not too worried.

Little explorer Violet has already discovered this new thing to climb on, and I have seen her jump and climb around on it a couple of times now.

More cat pics to come, once I get in the habit of writing posts again.
