Christmas Card 2014
We’re back at it again this year, we’re saving on postage being environmentally friendly and putting our Christmas Card online. There’s also the time factor. It took me more than 8 hours to wrap the Christmas gifts that are being shipped to 3 places in two other states and being handed out here in MA. Actually mail merging the labels for the over 100 names on our list, labeling, signing and then mailing the cards (maybe not in that exact order) is WAY more time than I have. So, an hour or so of photo editing it is.
And so, I give you, our 2014 Christmas Card.
Congratulations, #AlisonBechdel !
One of my favorite cartoonists (whom Kelly and I had the privilege of meeting a few years ago) has won a MacArthur “Genius Grant“. ThinkProgress also has this interview with her.
I am so excited for her. I literally cheered when I read the news.
More Christmas photos
Because if there is one thing that the Internet needs, it’s more pictures of cats doing silly things. These are from when Scratch was still in his “Ooo, it’s that special holiday cat perch! Just for me!” phase.
Joss Whedon is my master now
Truthfully, I love Firefly much more than most of the science fiction out there, just like the T-shirt says. And Joss has managed to hit a home run with this little video he put together.

A further note on Scratch
I thought I would add something related to the post that my wife put up about our youngest. You see, Scratch was named after a character in PvP, one of my favorite comics. I found it particularly hilarious when Scratch began imitating his namesake by becoming fascinated with Christmas trees. And like Kelly also mentioned, Scratch started knocking ornaments off the tree like his namesake too. Fortunately, he has not yet managed to turn into Kringus. But he does love to get up in the tree.
My dog Rerun is also named after a character in a comic.
