It’s hard to believe that my trip is already over and I am heading back to Boston tomorrow morning. I have been pretty busy with everything going on with the family. It was good to see everyone, and it was good to have the chance to see some of my friends that I had not seen in several years as well. Wow, so much has changed in just three years. Anyway, I managed to take some photos.
First off, I have to say that much to my delight and surprise, there was pie. Chocolate cream, to be precise. Not my favorite, but still a good one and oh was it good.

The new watering system is great. I was here while it was being installed, and I think that the guys who put it in did a pretty good job all around. They came in, did their jobs without goofing off, and finished the installation completely in less than 24 hours. I have been doing some experimenting with it. It will take some time to learn, and I have still not completely figured it out, but it is definitely going to make my parents’ life easier.

The ramp was completed the day before I arrived, and unfortunately neither of my parents’ cars will now fit in the garage. But guess whose will?

I loaded up the car with everything I am bringing back to Boston and my mom didn’t want me to leave the car outside, so I managed to park it in the garage. But just barely.

But most importantly, I got to spend some time with my family. It was good to see my parents and I was glad to help them out with a much as I could. My dad was happy that the old computer is going to (hopefully) a good home where it will be appreciated and my mom was glad to have it out of the garage. I got to see several of my siblings and two of my nephews. Wow have they grown.

It was awesome to see my nephews and how much they have grown. Rian now loves coffee milk. And apparently he has been trying hot sauces, although I have not personally witnessed this. Jonathan is as big a weather geek as his Uncle Geoff, and so we talked all about the current hurricane season. And they both loved all of the stuff I brought for them from Aunt Kelly and I. They LOVED it.
So anyway, back on the road tomorrow. The Mini has done really well on this trip. I am looking forward to getting back to Cambridge to see my sweetie and all of my little furry kids.
Glad you had a good visit — safe travels! At least you won’t be driving through a hurricane…
No, but I did drive through the earthquake, and that was weird enough.
