Cheap fun

The fact that Geoff and I are low on funds is no secret. Many of our friends have commented on the fact that they haven’t seen a lot of us in the last few months. The is partly due to the fact that we don’t have the money to go out and do things and partly due to the fact that we don’t have the time.

So, we take our fun where we can find it.

We went to Petco the other day to pick up some dog food. Per usual, we checked the clearance rack. Sometimes you can get really good deals on that rack. That particular evening we hit the jackpot. We got four bags of the little snack bones that the dogs love for super cheap. Then we found these.

Bucky in his formalwear
No, not the cat. The thing he’s wearing.

Bucky is modeling the tux collar with the black bow tie. This was a leftover Halloween costume and it cost us $0.25. Yes, really.

We may have then put it on Thumbelina.

Thumbelina strikes a pose.
Personally, I think she rocks that look.

Some of you may also remember that we asked for a dachshund costume as a part of the dachshund stuff on our wedding registry, specifically a mustard hotdog costume. Well, someone gave it to us and we’ve put it on both dogs. Neither of them liked it very much. Rerun, in fact, thinks it is a stuffed toy and tries to chew on it.

Well, now we have another one.

Rerun still thinks it is a stuffy toy, and he hates wearing it, but you have to take your amusement where you can get it, right?

Also, it was $0.25, so for a matched set, we couldn’t pass it up.

Just wait till Halloween, kids.
