Last Two Jewelry Shows of 2014 – Buy Local!

It’s that time of year again, crunch time for shopping for friends, family, roommates, and that annoying Office Yankee Swap.  Have no fear!  I have your solution.

December 6th, 2014

I have two shows coming up, my last two shows of the year.  The first is 11:00am – 5:00pm at First Church in Jamaica Plain.  This show has been going on forever and is beloved among JP residents.  Get there early, the good stuff goes fast!

Craft Fair ad 2014Also, the good people at First Church will be doing a canned food drive as well as a drive for gloves, hats, scarves and new men’s socks for patrons of the food pantry.  If you have any of those items, no other clothing items please, bring them with you to help brighten someone’s holiday.

I am really looking forward to my first show with the good folks at First Church in JP.  I hope to see you on Saturday.

December 13th, 2014

Then, on Saturday December 13th, I’ll be in a completely different venue and there will be free wine.  That’s right, I’ll be at the Brookline Liquor Mart and there will be wine tastings all day as well as a group of local craft vendors selling all sorts of items from 1:00pm – 5:00pm.

BLM2014The folks at Brookline Liquor Mart have added this Art Fair to their extensive list of December offerings.  Come by and check us out.  It’s sure to be a great time.  And, I’ll have wine charms for sale.

I hope to see you at one or both of these great events!

The Holidays and Tips from your Friendly Local Service Industry Professionals

December is upon us, we’ve survived Thanksgiving weekend and the Black Friday-Cyber Monday mayhem that ensued.  I didn’t hear any stories about people getting trampled to death at Wal-Marts this year, but that just might be because I was working Fri-Sun and not watching the news.

To do my part to keep this month as harmonious and happy as possible, I’ve collected some tips and tricks from my own experience and from various individuals and places around the internet.  Read these, learn them, and you’ll find that your shopping, dining, and general interactions with people will go better for the rest of the year and possibly into the next one.

This may rank as one of the more unusual shows I’ve done to date.  Also, I know I don’t have any plaid to wear.  And I do not own cowboy boots.  But, I think it is going to be really fun.  And tasty.  Really tasty.

Crafts, Food, Beer & Cider.  Om, nom, nom.  Come join us.

Please vote today, everyone

I loved George Carlin,  and I thought he was a brilliant comic and social commentator.  But on one major point, I have always vehemently disagreed with him…

voting.

Your vote matters.  Because EVERY vote matters.

I’m lucky to be participating in Roslindale Open Studios this year.  This is the 10th year of ROS and they’re a great group to work with.  If you want to start your Christmas shopping with some handmade items and also want the chance to look around Roslindale, take a bike tour, and sample some craft food and beverage, the first weekend in November is it!

There’s also ROS Home Studio Bingo.

You have to play to win and you have to be there to play.  Want to know more? Come to Roslindale on 11/1 & 11/2!
