@amandapalmer, @neilhimself, & @GeorgeWBush walk into a bar…

Neil & Amanda sit down and have a drink.  George says OW.

Ok, bad joke.  But it was inspired by this tweet from Goodreads this afternoon.

2nd Annual Inman Sq Harvest Hoedown Sunday 11/9/14 12-4pm

This may rank as one of the more unusual shows I’ve done to date.  Also, I know I don’t have any plaid to wear.  And I do not own cowboy boots.  But, I think it is going to be really fun.  And tasty.  Really tasty.

Crafts, Food, Beer & Cider.  Om, nom, nom.  Come join us.

Requiem for a Bookstore

Anyone who’s been paying attention knows that independent bookstores are a bit hard to come by these days.  We’re lucky here in the People’s Republic, because we still have a lot of them.  But on Friday one of them went the way of the Dodo and the world is a little less fun for it.  So long, Lorem Ipsum.

Roslindale Open Studios 11/1 & 11/2

I’m lucky to be participating in Roslindale Open Studios this year.  This is the 10th year of ROS and they’re a great group to work with.  If you want to start your Christmas shopping with some handmade items and also want the chance to look around Roslindale, take a bike tour, and sample some craft food and beverage, the first weekend in November is it!

I’ll be in the lower level of the Roslindale Congregational Church.  The excellent ROS website has my listing details here.  The weekend events listing is here and the directions are here.

There’s also ROS Home Studio Bingo.

You have to play to win and you have to be there to play.  Want to know more? Come to Roslindale on 11/1 & 11/2!

Autumn in New England

It has been kind of strange that we had such a dry, warm September, and there have been some warm days in October too.  But I think you can’t deny that fall has finally arrived in Greater Boston.

Celebrate the Season!

No, not that season.  The one we’re in right now.  Autumn.

Somerville is celebrating the final SomerStreets of the year on Sunday October 19th with the Monster Mashed UP Festival.  Major streets will be closed, ghosts and goblins will walk among us, and fun will be had by all.  Also, there will be pumpkins, face painting, a parade, costume contests (for pets and their people) and, you’ve probably guessed it by now, craft vendors.

I’ll be there in my tent with all sorts of things to tempt you.  Things that make great host gifts, things that make gifts for yourself, and yes, things that make great holiday gifts as well.

Details are here.  Please come!  It’s a rain or shine event.  We’re hardy New Englanders after all, and this is only Autumn.  Winter is, as they say, still coming.

See you there!

~Kelly
