And as you all know, as January ends we enter the doldrums of winter. We’re experiencing a freak break in the cold with temps in the 50’s today. But it will get freezing again. I’m still holding out hope for snow, but until then, let these stories make you smile. And, yes, I know January ends tomorrow. Nyah.

This whole, “OMG the world is going to end on 12/21/12 !!11!!!1!”… “or maybe not” thing has made both of us a little testy. Geoff has mentioned in the past in references to other Doomsday predictions that also went nowhere that he was tempted to create Geoffrey’s Apocalyptic Passover Service, LLC.
He’s beginning to regret that he didn’t.
Looking for the right gift for the young woman in your life that isn’t pink and frilly? That’s doesn’t teach her that all princesses need to be rescued by the prince? Want her to learn more about science and bugs and that making mud pies and getting dirty is OK?

The election is over, the results are in (glares pointedly at Florida) and the numbers are good. If you know me you know I generally don’t like numbers. Or math, anyway. For your edification, I share this.
Well, I have heard the sorts of arguments made by this guy all too often, but I had heard that this video was worth watching because of the twist ending. So I watched it, and I have to admit, I was absolutely surprised. Pleasantly surprised.

Today I got my daily email from Fab.com. One of the featured shops was for artist John Keddie, a San Francisco based artist who is a multimedia computer savvy type guy. He also very clearly has an appreciation for pop culture and, well, twisted humor. That’s why we’ve put up 7 of his posters. The rest are probably too, um, gritty for our parents. As they read this blog regularly and may pass out from too much grit, we’ve erred on the side of caution with our choices.
