I know that you think your email reminders are helpful. A year ago, heck, even 8 months ago, they were. But I am acutely aware that our wedding is a month from today. Really, I am. So, with all due respect, I DO NOT need a deluge of emails telling me that “You’re running out of time!” “Is your to-do list up to date?” “One Month To GO!!!”

Apparently it’s an epidemic
Tomorrow is the day we had set as the RSVP no later than date, and so naturally something like half of the people we invited have not yet responded. No, that’s not an exaggeration. Half. Including half of the choir.
This landed in my Inbox today
In case you’re wanting to shop from our Bloomingdale’s registry and especially if you’re wanting to go to a bricks and mortar store, this might help.

Happy Shopping.

Wedding related reminder
Hi folks,
This is just a reminder. If you have not yet mailed in your RSVP card please do so now. This is especially true if you are a member of the Wedding Party *koff koff*. The due date for RSVP cards is Saturday, as in, this Saturday.
For all of you who have sent them in, Thank You.

HUGE sale at Macy’s.com – This makes me nervous
I just logged into Macy’s.com. It looks like ALL of our china is marked down substantially. I am actually slightly concerned that this means that it is marked for clearance, never to be seen again. I will check on that, but if you’re looking to save some money on a wedding gift, now’s the time.
If you buy a place setting, you get a free soup bowl. Soup bowls, regularly $95 are marked down to $76. The 15.25″ serving platter, regularly $255 is now $204. You get the idea.
Happy shopping,
~Kelly
ETA: You can also get $20 off any $100 purchase from a registry. Click here for the details. The special runs 9/14-9/27.
ETA the second: I think this sale may have crashed the Macy’s server. Heh.
ETA the third: I have been trying to check and see the Macy’s site all day and it looks like their gateway server is down. You can still get through via our registry link here. Guess this is punishment for stalking the registry… 😉

Kelly’s shower is over and it went well
We had a long but productive weekend. Of course Kelly and her mom were busy with all of the bridal shower stuff, but they also managed to get a lot of other things done, like reorganizing the guest room so we would have more storage space for wedding stuff. I helped out where I could, and I also managed to complete a little kitchen project I had wanted to do that will give us a little more storage space. All in all, it was a pretty good weekend. I was only there for the early part when things were being set up, and then I left after I made sure they did not need me to run any more errands. So I did not get any pictures or anything, obviously, but it is my understanding that a lot of pictures were taken by Liza and so hopefully at some point we will be able to see some of those.

Shopping on Amazon
Geoff and I just tweaked our registries a bit. There’s a sale on Amazon going on. To quote Amazon, “It’s a 4-for-3 promotion. Eligible products include select Books, Single Copy Magazines, and Home & Garden items. Buy any 4 eligible items and get the lowest-priced item free. Here’s how (restrictions apply).”
Basically, we moved all of our stemware over from Bloomingdales because each glass was $5.00 cheaper at Amazon and the 4-for-3 deal plus free shipping makes it an even better deal yet.
Ok, that’s enough wedding stuff for today.

I think this is turning into a competition
Based on my post from the other day, I think this might be turning into a competition. Our friends Jason and Shelley are Yankee fans. Yes, we love them anyway. (They’re originally from CT, they can’t help it.) Jason once legendarily got thrown out of a bar, leaving behind a bar tab, after cheering at the wrong time in a Sox vs. Yanks game. The bartender told him to get out, even when Jason offered to pay his tab, because it would cost more to fix up the bar after the fight that was about to happen than it would if Jason just left.

All wedding stuff all the time!!! And squirrels.
At least, that’s what my life feels like right now. (Ok, the wedding part, not the squirrel part, more on that later.) Anyway, I just wanted to let folks who might be in the shopping frame of mind know a couple of things.
