Ok, so this post is a week late. That does not in any way diminish the awesomeness that is Jenny Lawson, The Bloggess. The link to her blog is in our blog roll to your right. If you haven’t read her stuff I recommend that you click through. I will, however, warn you. She’s not for the easily offended, she’s fond of four letter words, and she’s from Texas.

A bit more about that whole swearing thing
It looks like our reaction to all that silliness in Middleborough is not unusual. Even people there are apparently going out of their way now to break the law their town passed regarding profanity. To me, this is one of those things that illustrate how people go after a symptom and not the cause. The problem is that young people don’t have a whole lot to do in the town. That seems pretty obvious. So how is controlling profanity going to solve the problem? Believe me, kids will find a way around that, even if the law somehow manages to not get overturned. It wasn’t that long ago that a principal in Danvers, MA tried to outlaw the kids at his school talking like Beaker, the character from The Muppet Show.

My new favorite Etsy Seller
I received this email today and I immediately started cackling when I got to this photo. Naturally, I had to show it to Geoff. Also naturally, it was already sold out by the time I clicked through and got to Etsy. These people are Evil Geniuses.
What’s wrong with this picture?
If you get regular Groupon emails you know that they’re always trying to be a little edgy. Or, at least sometimes, their humor is a bit tongue in cheek. This time, however, they either missed funny entirely, or someone re-purposed their Mother’s Day email and didn’t check the results of the Find and Replace function completely. Whoops.
I thought it was pretty funny myself
A lot of Patriots fans have been talking about the new video on Funny or Die by Pats quarterback Tom Brady. Basically, it is all about accents, and of course he doesn’t have one, much less a Boston one. He seems to be a good sport about the whole thing, and I always applaud anyone who doesn’t mind doing some self-parody. Anyway, for all you non-Boston people who haven’t seen it yet, here it is.
What a way to go
OK, so apparently the universe is not done sending me slightly macabre and random stories. This time, I’m OK with this. This one is almost funny.
More Brimfield posts… soon
We promise. But until we can get them done, here’s this.

This is from Etsy seller Long Winter Soap Co. They’re apparently New England people and I totally appreciate their sense of humor.

First Brimfield report
Ok, it isn’t a report, just a link. But still, I love making the news.

Forwards from our parents
Geoff and I both have Parents With Email. This is often a good thing as it is easy to get in touch with one another. We can email family photos and wedding related things back and forth. Things that 10 years ago would have required a carefully timed phone call can now be handled over the internet.
Except for the forwards. You know, those forwarded emails that you sometimes get? Our anecdotal research suggests that you are 1000.00% more likely to receive them from your parents than from anyone else you know. Or have ever met. Or will ever meet.
In lieu of content…
I bring you pictures.
No, not pictures of me or Geoff or the kids. Pictures from the intertubes. Pictures of animals that look like ours. Why? Because I’m tired and I have work to do and I just finished day three of New Job and my brain is full. That’s why.
So enjoy, or something.
