The things you learn on the internet

I was reading through the most recent post by The Bloggess.  This post was her announcement of the third leg of her book tour and there was much celebration in the comments from people who will get to see her at a reading.  As usual, I scrolled on down and read through the comments because they’re often hilarious.  Then I came to this one.

My Kingdom For a Spring -or- Locked In

Yesterday was a long day.  I worked a day shift and then got home in time to make myself some food, check out my new health insurance on the internet (thank you, Commonwealth Care!) and then get ready for my concert and leave to walk there.  As I locked up the house I remember the distinct feeling that the deadbolt caught a little strangely when I locked it.  More on that later.

New Hampshire Gift Shops and Other Scary Things

As you may have seen from Geoff’s post from the other day about Inappropriate Napping, we spent Thursday in New Hampshire with Geoff’s parents, sister, brother in law, and the kids.  Before going out to dinner we went to a local gift shop aimed at the camping and antiquing tourists that come through the area.  It was… an experience.

I guess we’re continuing with the theme

I was reading an article on Boston.com about a rather inspired prank pulled by the graduating class at a local high school when this link at the bottom of the article caught my eye.  It was one of those, “if you’re reading this article then you’ll like this one too!” type of things.

News of the undead

No, this isn’t Geoff posting.

To continue on our slightly macabre thread from yesterday, I’m following up with this story that popped up on Boston.com the other day.  I am hoping that this one won’t generate the Google hits that yesterday’s post did.  Traffic we like, really disturbing search terms bringing people here, not so much.
