It’s the end of the world as we know it – Mayan style!

Some of you may know that Geoff and I find all of this end of the world stuff, erm, endlessly fascinating and funny.  Between Harold Camping and his crew predicting the Rapture at least twice last year to the impending End Of All The Things this December because of the Mayan Calendar, we’re just laughing a LOT.

I really thought this was a joke

I originally saw this a few days ago in an email from Fab.com.  It’s one of those daily sale sites that sends you an email every day, only their sales last a few days and they sell everything from antiques to small handicraft type stuff.  Then then there’s this stuff.  Foofy home decorating stuff for really… particular audiences.

Wedding shopping – not mine!

Last month our dear friends Teri and Patricio got engaged.  I’d actually cornered Patricio at my wedding and asked him when he and Teri were going to get engaged.  I think they’ve been together for approximately 6 centuries now and it was getting harder and harder for me not to refer to them as betrothed.

Rerun has some issues

My dog has a bit of a problem.  Dachshunds are supposed to be instinctual burrowers.  Rerun on the other hand, well, he seems to have forgotten at least some of what was passed on to him.  Half the time he will whine until I cover him up with the blanket or whatever he wants to get under.  But when I am not there, he just sort of makes do without having someone to do it for him.  And sometimes that goes terribly, terribly awry.

One of the best, and worst, things I have ever seen on Etsy

I got my daily Etsy email and as I was scrolling through there was a section of soap gifts listed.  I’ve noticed over the years that there are some pretty creative soap makers on Etsy.  The rest sell bars of stuff that probably make you smell like a Victorian whore, but some of the more creative ones are pretty funny.

Our wedding slideshow

Hi everyone,

Our fabulous entertainment people, Curtis and Anna from Curtis Knight Entertainment, emailed this to us.  It’s the slideshow they made from some of the photos they took at the wedding and reception.  Geoff and I LOVE it.  It’s amazing.  Many of you guest folks are in it.  Please give it a view.

Our wedding photo site

Hi everyone,

I have reason to believe that I am going to have a LOT of photographs coming my way.  Video as well, but a LOT of photos from this wedding and everything leading up to it.  Therefore, I have created a photo and video share site on Shutterfly.  If you have photos or videos to share please go ahead and upload them there.

The URL for the site is http://ourweddingnovember2011.shutterfly.com/ and you can upload directly to the site or you can email pictures to the site via the email address ourweddingnovember2011@sfly.com.  Please feel free to send things directly there rather than sending them to us, it will be easier for us to parse them that way and to decide what we want to do with them.

If you have anything of questionable content or a truly horrible photo of one of us (read: me) then feel free to ask first.  There is currently only one photo on the site, so feel free to send on over anything you have from the Bachelor party, the Bachelorette party, the decorating of the reception space, etc.

Thanks, everyone.

~Kelly

ETA: This is important!  I can make a folder for you and then you’ll get a personalized email address to which you can send your photos.  That way you don’t have to log in to shutterfly, create an account, or figure out how to upload without creating a login.  This is EXTREMELY easy for me to do so if you’d like me to do it PLEASE just let me know and I’ll set it right up.

FOR SALE- TRS-80 Computer with all the peripherals and manuals

You know, I often give Geoff grief about never throwing anything away.  He likes to keep everything.

Sometimes this works in our favor and he ends up keeping something really, really cool.  Like this.

TRS 80 Model III
It's alive!!!

We have for sale one TRS 80 Model III computer.  It WORKS.  It has not one but TWO printers which also work.  Check it out.

DWP 210
It works and we have cartridges for it!

And finally, the giant pile of manuals and stuff.  We have SO much stuff.  Check it out.

Floppies and manuals galore
Yep, those are floppies. No, we're not going to "upcycle" them.

We’re selling everything individually.  If you’re interested leave a comment here or send one of us an email and we’ll get right back to you.  We need to make room for more wedding crap in our apartment and we’d like to see this stuff go to a good home.

Thanks!

~Kelly
