I bet you do. Everybody likes waffles. Especially when they look like this.

The Animals of the Internet Speak Their Minds
Some of these have been kicking around on my hard drive for a while and I think it’s time they come out to play. Some of them are just too good to keep to myself.

***42 emails and counting***
That was the title of the email I sent to Petflow.com yesterday morning at 7:45am when I realized that my inbox was inundated and it wasn’t showing signs of stopping.
Before I go on I should probably warn you, this is not one of my rants. This is a story about customer service. Good customer service.

And leave it to Fab.com to bring the, here’s that word again, disturbing stuff.

Bulletins from the animal kingdom
Easter is almost upon us and that means a couple of things: spring is coming (no, really, it is, promise!), Geoff and I will be *really* busy this weekend, people will be doing stupid and ill advised things like getting their kids bunnies, chicks, and ducklings for their baskets on Sunday morning, and the annual seal skin kill is going on in Canada.
How to know when you’ve been watching too much Downton Abbey
Last week my mother and I were talking on the phone and she mentioned how she and my dad are fans of Downton Abbey. I mentioned that Geoff and I had never seen it. Not one episode.
That could not stand, so my mother shipped us season 1 and 2 on DVD. They arrived just before Nemo did. We watched all of them during the storm. We may have over done it a touch.

Snowpocalypseageddon has come
So yes, we got some snow, and as David Epstein said on his weather blog, some of the recorded snowfall amounts were epic. I am not sure what our official amount is, but I am positive we got over 20 inches easily.
Kelly and I headed out this afternoon to clear the steps and the walk and even with both of us working (even using our little snowblower) it took a little while to clear just a path through the snow, much less clear the walk, which at this point would be impossible. There’s simply too much to move and nowhere to put it.
Possible blizzard coming
The possibility of snow this weekend went from possible snow earlier in the week to winter storm watch to blizzard watch today as the weather forecast for Thursday through Saturday was refined by meteorologists. And all this on the 35th Anniversary of one of the biggest snow events of my generation – the Blizzard of 1978.
Kittens + geeks = this
The internet really doesn’t have enough cats yet. And since we already have videos of cats doing all sorts of things, it was only a matter of time until someone made a video of cats (or kittehs, if you will) fighting with lightsabers.
Our “dog-cat” Scratch
One of my favorite political bloggers (John Aravosis over at AmericaBlog) loves animals so much that he now has a whole section of his website devoted to pets. Just like Kelly and me, he often talks about the latest goings-on of his own animal companion and those of his friends on the blog.
Recently, he put up a post discussing the phenomenon of cats that act like dogs. And he included a video.
