This just breaks my heart, for several reasons

I hate to see historical markers or monuments vandalized.  It’s bad enough that my own ancestor’s monument was vandalized in recent years.   I mentioned the other day that someone had vandalized the Shaw monument on Beacon Street.  It happened while I was working literally down the street.  Well, I had a chance to see the damage for myself.

New Hampshire Gift Shops and Other Scary Things

As you may have seen from Geoff’s post from the other day about Inappropriate Napping, we spent Thursday in New Hampshire with Geoff’s parents, sister, brother in law, and the kids.  Before going out to dinner we went to a local gift shop aimed at the camping and antiquing tourists that come through the area.  It was… an experience.

Free to a good home

Every so often as I’m browsing the job postings on Craig’s List I’ll pop over to the Free section and see just what little gems people are giving away.  Sometimes people actually give away really good stuff.  We got our wheelchair that way when Geoff was hurt and needed one.

Family dinner outing
